LogPoint is adding Oslo to the growing list of LogPoint locations, to provide localized Account Management and Technical resources to customers and partners in Norway

COPENHAGEN and OSLO– March 30, 2021LogPoint, the global cybersecurity innovator, has established a new base in Oslo, Norway, and is now present in the four major capitals of the Nordic region, completing coverage of the Nordic home market. LogPoint will focus on the Enterprise market and continue to build on the strong track record with the public sector in Norway.

“By putting LogPointers on the ground in Oslo, we are responding to a growing demand for efficient SIEM, UEBA solutions and security for SAP in Norway. While we have serviced customers and partners in Norway from Stockholm for years, being present to develop partnerships and provide localized and personal support makes a big difference,” says Martin Fribrock, Regional Director for LogPoint in the Nordics.

Among the first LogPointers in Oslo is Hans Christian Grøstad taking up the role as Enterprise Sales manager, based on his track record from similar roles at ForgeRock, Veritas, Oracle and Verizon. He is joined by Presales Engineer Joon Martin Hansen, who has previously served in positions at ForgeRock, CheckPoint, Trend Micro and RSA.

“Setting up in Oslo has been on top of our to-do-list for a while. We consider the Nordic region LogPoint home market, and establishing our presence in the four major capitals of the region is a prerequisite for establishing the deep ties we really want with major Norwegian enterprises, customers in the public sector and our trusted certified partners in Norway,” says LogPoint CEO Jesper Zerlang.

Oslo will be the 9thLogPoint location, and across three continents. More than 200 LogPointers are working together with 60+ partners to provide LogPoint SIEM and UEBA technology, that supports cybersecurity, compliance, IT operations and business analytics. Also, LogPoint recently added security for ERP systems to the portfolio with LogPoint for SAP.

LogPoint’s technology accelerates cybersecurity detection and response, giving organizations the freedom to collaborate and the insight to adapt. The Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) software collects security information from across the entire network and sources of any kind and structurally integrates User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) machine learning to detect and respond to threats.

Additional quotes:

“LogPoint see a great deal of opportunity in Norway as the Corona-crisis has exposed the vulnerabilities of digital infrastructures and has increased demand for efficient cybersecurity solution. At the same time, adaption of SIEM technology is low in Norway, particularly among SME’s. Last but not least, Norway has a large SAP user community, and SAP security is a unique LogPoint capability.”
Martin Fribrock, Regional Director for LogPoint in the Nordics

“The largest enterprises in Norway have SIEM covered, but among small and medium-sized enterprises, there is a big gap. For companies in the SME segment, it’s hard to attract specialists and drive a full-scale cybersecurity operation. This makes LogPoint attractive as its an easy-to-use solution with a lot of automation built-in, that can be delivered as a managed service”
