The European partnership will help organizations detect cyber threats proactively while ensuring that all collected data remain in Europe to comply with expanding data protection and cybersecurity regulations.
COPENHAGEN & NECKARSULM, Germany, April 8, 2025 – Logpoint and STACKIT today announced a new strategic partnership to help organizations bolster cyber defenses while complying with European regulations such as GDPR and NIS2. Organizations and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) can deploy Logpoint SIEM on STACKIT’s European sovereign cloud to detect cyber threats efficiently while keeping data protected.
“Our ambition is to remain independent from providers outside of Europe, ensuring that European organizations can benefit from secure cloud infrastructure while maintaining control over their data,” says Bernd Wagner, CEO at STACKIT. “Logpoint is a strong European threat detection provider that fits into our vision of delivering sovereign, reliable, and sustainable technology.”
According to ENISA, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, cyberattacks continue to increase in number and impact, and the Russia-Ukraine war has introduced a new paradigm with more cyber operations driven by geopolitics. The partnership between Logpoint and STACKIT enables customers to host critical security data in a secure and high performing cloud environment with the certainty that the data is stored under the jurisdiction of the European Union.
“European organizations prioritizing technological and data sovereignty, like critical infrastructure, need regional access to efficient cybersecurity solutions,” says Alexander von Keyserlingk, Regional Manager at Logpoint. “With this initiative, we’re providing a European, cost-effective alternative for organizations that value data protection and want to host their SIEM in the cloud.”
Logpoint SIEM collects and analyzes log and event data across the infrastructure to detect threats and fulfill compliance requirements. STACKIT offers both public and private cloud services through secure connections. As one of the first, the German investment and asset management, KGAL, has opted for the joint solution. “The combination of Logpoint SIEM and STACKIT Cloud has clear advantages. Logpoint has a clear pricing model and moving it to the STACKIT Cloud is cost-effective. We find that the solution is easy to manage, and there are many options for integrations, which make it flexible to use,” says Markus Helmschrott, Security Operations Manager, KGAL. “Last but not least, it’s a huge advantage to work with SIEM in a German cloud for regulated companies like us, and it’s a joy for data protection.”
Logpoint and STACKIT are both rooted in Europe. Logpoint has a strong focus on data protection and cybersecurity regulations and is the only European SIEM vendor with a Common Criteria EAL3+ certification. STACKIT’s secure, scalable, and C5-certified cloud services based on European data centers ensure organizational data remains within the European Union.
