Stockholm: March 17, 2015 – According to Cygate Oy, a provider of secure network and data centre solutions, a large number of Finnish companies still manage their information security based on insufficient information. Companies often find it difficult and expensive to manage information about their security and the events occurring on their systems using traditional means. Adaptive next-generation solutions change that situation and make security information and event management solutions (SIEM) available to an increasing number of companies.

In order to support the management of information security for companies looking for agile and efficient tools, Cygate will be strengthening its existing portfolio by offering the Nordic SIEM pioneer LogPoint’s technology – a technology that can be implemented quickly within organizations of any size.

“We wish to offer a low threshold to those companies and organizations that could do with a more straightforward SIEM solution than the traditional ones,” says Antti Jääskeläinen, Cygate’s SOC Manager.

“We believe that analytics solutions and log management tools that focus on information security will become increasingly significant in the future. Traditional protection requires far more monitoring and preventive actions, which in turn require efficient analytics solutions and more human resources,” Jääskeläinen continues.

LogPoint allows security information and event management to be introduced as a rapid project without any significant initial investments. Further, in addition to meeting the requirements set for storing of log data, the solution also offers, if necessary, an automated processing of threat data as well as fast and diversified search options.

“Our rapid growth in Europe reflects the need for SIEM solutions that can be introduced quickly. For us, Cygate is the strong partner specialized in information security that we have been looking for. We will start our cooperation with them to develop the information security of customer environments in Finland,” says LogPoint’s Scandinavian Channel Manager, Martin Larsson.
